Is Synaps free while I am still in school?
Yes. Active architecture students get a free Pro license with a .edu or university-issued email. The license covers your entire degree program. Submit proof once and you are not asked again until graduation.
How steep is the learning curve before I can submit my first studio project?
Most students get to a buildable plan within a single afternoon. The drawing model is closer to Figma than to AutoCAD, there is no command line, no layer politics, and no need to memorize twenty modifier-key combinations before you can place a wall.
How does Synaps work for a 24-student studio course?
Each student gets their own free educational license. The instructor sees a roster view with every project tile in a single grid and can drop into any plan to leave a pinned comment in seconds. You can clone a curated set of starter geometries to the whole cohort at the start of the semester.
Can I assign templates and starter geometry for an assignment?
Yes. Build a master template, site, scale bar, hatching standards, layer setup, and distribute it to the cohort with one click. Students fork their own copy and you keep the original clean for next year. Reset to the template baseline is one menu click.
